Thanks Ed R yep that's how I did it, shows me 5 under giving best performance?
How to measure P 2 P is in thread pinned up top here in this forum.
And the answer is no, installed wedges the 25p gave 5500-5600 rpm but ran 58 mph seems like it shooting way to much rooster now?
Still had to be 5 under
When you have too much Jack plate what behavior will you get? I'm starting to wonder if the 10 in Jack is to much and I should have an 8 in ?
How much gas is in the tank, how much tackle in the lockers and front compartment?
You have a modded motor and not much speed. Have they checked for a spun sleeve?
Have you checked for hooks in the hull?
Could be a water logged hull, seen that one quite a bit.
Post some pictures of motor and jackplate
All runs with half tank (25 gal) I do carry a bunch of tackle, motor wise last year I replaced pistons and put hydrotec high comp heads on, the hull seems pretty smooth a few scratches but not hooked at rear, no blisters on the transom or hull a silicone everything up every couple years nothing that would lead me to think that I'm waterlogged, what do you mean by a spun sleeve? Thanks
Just read about it on this forum, trying to think “out of the box” on what you might have going on.
Most likely not the problem, since you’re getting the RPM’s, but something has that speed down so much.

Yeah that's what's confusing you'd think I'd be able to at least recreate with less trim? That's why I'm starting to wonder if I have too much Jack plate?
Set the jack plate height that gave the 5000/5200@60-61mph and keep it there, don't move it after the hole shot and you are on plane making the speed run. You only adjust the trim and never the jack plate height while the boat is on plane making the speed run, because it adds another variable. You only adjust the jack plate (1/4 inch) before each new test run. If you set the jack plate height that gave the 5000/5200@60-61mph you should be able to duplicate it. The only difference is the wedges, but that just gives you more positive trim. You should be able to get 5000/5200@60-61mph trimming out before the extra amount of trim that the wedges give. What is your motors recommended maximum rpm.

Ok thanks hydrotec said 5600-5800
Do you have transducers or something disturbing water flow to prop? Power poles? I feel like you may have motor issues because the numbers don’t make sense . It’s a big boat and it’s not going to be a rocket.
Yeah no power poles, only transducer is on the Jack plate, I'll try and do a compression test this weekend, spoke with Bob's again and they suggested I try the 2-in spacers, so I ordered those I'll give that a shot, thanks for all the help everybody
Another Update, ok so I pulled the wedges out and added to in spacers as Bob's suggested, with the 25 tempest Plus I got 5000/5100rpm@61 mph, the 24 5500)5600rpm@59 mph, the 5° shim was too much, so now I'm wondering if I go with the two inch spacer and a two and a half degree shim, am I thinking is I may be able to get that 25 to the appropriate RPM range?
I know you don’t want to hear it, but you’ve got something else going on.
I'm open to any ideas what's ya thinking?
I don’t think the motor is making full power.
