Probably need a 22 or 23 tempest, water pressure is on the low side so cant lift the motor a hole. Id be looking for 60-63mph at 5600+. What is red line that engine?

Definitely need a lower pitch Tempest. Also, checked for a hooked hull.

My 2013 Z7 has a 24p TP and it runs 60-62 depending on conditions. 5600-5700 RPM. This is with two people in the boat. I did have issues about 4 years ago with a hooked hull and i could only get around 5000 rpm and the boat would only run 50 mph. Nitro replaced the hull and all is good.

Thanks for all the advice. I know it needs to go on a diet. When it was new it would hit 60 but now all I can get is 54-55 on a good day. Do you think a 23p tempest would help with speed as well as rpm

Check your hull first before you do anything. My boat ran great when it was new and then the performance just started to decline after about 4-5 years.

Might want to change impeller and a little tune up probably won't hurt, if it's been a while.
