I got an old st croix legend that is my favorite but I have a 6'6" Johnny Morris rod that is quite good and it was only $120 when purchased.

I've been using an ALX Rosa the last few years and it's excellent.

I like this one a lot too!

The Phenix X-10 is my favorite though.

FWIW, I throw my jerkbaits on braid to a leader so that may alter my opinion somewhat, though I've thrown them on straight fluoro with both rods. The Phenix does make you work a bit harder with straight fluoro as its action is a little more moderate, but you don't lose them with it either. Don't take that to mean that the Phenix is a noodle or going to feel like a straight S-glass or E-glass stick as it's definitely not that, it's just a touch more moderate than the Daiwa mentioned above.

I have one on the way, I’m curious do you think it will handle the regular size vision 110 or other 1/2oz jerk baits?

I throw a LOT of Shadow Raps on the 6'-9"ML Daiwa Feider rod. They come in at 7/16 oz and it handles them very well. I've thrown X-Rap 12s on it at 3/4 oz and it handled those alright, just a little underpowered on those. I don't think you would have any issue throwing 1/2 oz jerkbaits on it.

    My favorite as well!

But in that $200 class, the Falcon Expert 6'8" is a good one

Alpha Angler slasher works well for me. Definitely more of a vision 110 rod. Doesn’t do as well with the lighter jerkbaits out there.

Anything in the 6’8” - 6’10” range is best IMO.

I'm using the iRod Genesis III jerkbait rod. 6'10" M/Mod. It's only rated to 3/8oz, but I've thrown 110s with it no problem.

Depends on the size of the jerkbait - for 70mm baits I like a heavy spinning rod, for 100-110 I like my dobyns 684cb and for larger 110-120 baits I like the 685cb. I lean more towards the faster action also as the water warms and slower action in colder water.

    Nice choices!

I have both the Megabass US P5 OneTen Special and the JDM P5 OneTen Stick. Both are fantastic rods, but they fish very different from one another. Which one are you looking at?

The US version ,, the JDM version seems like it might be too short for me ,, It would be used for regular 110's and 110+1 ,,,

"insert what you use here" well, here's an off the wall option. iRod jerkbait rod. 6' 10" Medium Moderate. It's actually more of a Mod-Fast, and it works awesome for micro jigs too. Use it for flukes, weightless senkos, and of course jerkbaits up to and even over 1/2oz no problem.
