    VX20 Guages dead

    2021 VX20 with 250 PRO XS

On Saturday made a 10 mile run in 30MPH winds & somewhere along the way both of my Vexus gauges died as well as all of my Mercury engine information on my Humminbird electronics
No gas, no trim, no tach, no mph.

I looked at all of the breakers on the panel to the right of the dash.

Anyone have any ideas where to start. The way it all shut down at one time, there has to be a fuse, breaker that popped or some connection that has come loose.

    Thanks for the help

    Willie

Pull that button switch panel and see which spade connectors pulled off their tabs on the backside. Once you push them back on, give them a squeeze with pliers to tighten them up a bit.

My Vexus had a few that came off during transport thus a few items didn't function (bow trim, intermittent nav lights, etc.). I found the connections so closely wired and tied together that when one pulls off, others adjacent likely will too.

    Thanks for the replies.
Spoke with an engineer at Vexus.
The gauges get their power and information from
    the NEMA backbone
He told me to check that first and sure enough one of the NEMA connections had come loose.
i reattached it and all is good now.
Glad it was that simple of a fix.

That’s great info - thanks for posting your source of issue.

NMEA “cone tins” likely is supposed to be “connections”.

Thanks for the info Willie. I’ve lost the starboard side gauge completely and the port side gauge the tach isn’t working but the LCD part is still working. Dealer checked it out and said the wiring harness was at fault. Still waiting for the harness to come in so the jury is still out
