    Falls today 4-13-2023

We couldn’t find any dirty water. Visibility was 3-4’ lake was up 4’ also. Water temp at Barton ramp was 63 at 7 am. We found 76.3 degree water but most of the lake was 70 everywhere at 3pm. The Dam area at the highest temps.

We lost some really big fish today but we had right at 17 lbs on our best 5. Tournament Saturday from Barton’s ramp. Spinner bait was the deal today. But we also found a bunch of beds with 6+ lb bass ON them or with in 3’ off. Be safe everyone and I hope I helped someone.

Well an update I’m proud to say.

my partner and I won the tournament with right at 15lbs. Tommy Stewart had big fish a tad over 6 and mine was 5.14
My partner had a tough day. His boat and all but he still didn’t get a fish. I had 4 keeper bites all day long but 4 fish right at 15 lbs was big enough thank god. So 1st tour of the year is in the books. Next up is the Roanoke river in Plymouth Nc. Never heard of it let alone fished it. Any hints would be nice. I may have my 20’ Viper by then if not we will be in Carls 18’ red tracker with a 75 HP so at 40 mph we can fish at least.

our fish was SHALLOW being in 3’ or less. 1 on a spinner bait and 3 on a grub

Actually my fishing partner Max Altman caught our 6-12 and I caught the 3 small ones. Bad thing is I lost 3 in the 3lb range within 6ft of the boat and would have put us around 18lbs.

But there is only 1 Tommy Stewart lol
First time I’ve got to fish against you sir and
I hope there is plenty of more. We hammered big
fish in practice. I mean smashed them (Thursday) but
since the beds was empty Saturday we just put our heads down and fished.
I hear a lot about you being a stud around here. My neighbor is
Tony Sofi and if I could get a chance to go get some advice
from him I’d like to think I could compete again. We went to Sharon Harris
yesterday and got only 5 fish as beds are empty. That lake is pretty much spawned out.
Nice to meet you Tommy Good luck at Roanoke. That one I’ll skip as I’ve never been there!
