SML State Park - Gate? Opening Time?

I've been to SML several times but have never launched at the state park...Is there a gate that opens at a particular time? Just trying to avoid showing up early only to wait on a gate.

There is no gate. Ramp is open 24/7.

You will need to stop and pay ramp fee at guard house right after you enter.

If you are renting a cabin at SML State Park, do you still need to pay a ramp fee?

I'm pretty sure the ramp use is included with the cabin rental, but I'm not 100% on it.

I kinda think it is included with the cabin rental... that's how it is at Lake Anna State Park, but I wasn't sure.
