    Exclamation traveling in MAY

I will be in Arkansas the month of may calling on customers. I would like to get some afternoon fishing in. Where would be some places to fish without a boat? What type of fish and baits to use would be helpful. Thanks.

Try the Little Red river for trout.

I was gonna say the Little Red but they've been generating like crazy. Swinging bridge is the most convenient place to fish and I've pulled thousands of trout out of that hole over the past 25+ years. Here's a table to tell you when they'll be generating. Will usually tell you the day before at some point. Column 15 (GFD) is the dam you need to pay attention to. Water takes 2.5-3 hours to get to the swinging bridge that's 2 miles east of 25 on 110. Use small hooks, 2# leader, and if you only have one bait on you go with chartreuse power eggs. White with garlic scent works great too in the warmer months.
