Arkansas Rally Interest

Its been a while since we've had a BBC Rally. I'm just putting it out there to gauge interest in doing one, or maybe even reaching out to the Missouri, Kansas, and other surrounding state clubs to see if they want to do a Midwest Rally. Thinking for maybe this fall somewhere. Just looking to start the conversation.

What do you guys do at a rally? Is it like a fishing derby? I’m looking forward to becoming a permanent AR resident on July 1st, 2023. I’m always game in meeting new people.

The last one we got together for dinner....had a bunch of giveaways, prizes, hung out, etc. Fished a two-day derby. We actually went up to table rock. I'd prefer somewhere locally this time though.

Bring it to Hot Springs and I’ll do the BBQ……..with enough notice. Sometimes our catering calendar gets hectic, but the fall usually isn’t too bad. Plus, I’d like to fish!

We could likely use the pavilion/building at the Fish Hatchery on Hamilton if another club didn’t have it spoken for. That’d be an easy spot to gather and eat, fellowship, etc. Not to mention it’s about two minutes from my house!

Here’s the deal. I don’t mind at all coordinating this, finding venues, and getting us sponsors for give aways. I don’t want to do it for 7 people to show up. The commitment has been light at best. I will look at the calendar and put a date to this and go from there. If by June 1, we don’t have any more commitment than we do now, I’ll just back off and we can do this next year, no big deal.

If the rally is on Ouchita, Hamilton or Degray I'm in. Would be a good opportunity to meet some locals. I know of a couple of people that would go as well.

Hot Springs area has certainly drawn the majority of the interest. When I get back from Wisconsin next week I’ll look at some dates and may even put up a poll to see if we can figure out what weekend would be best.

We used to do 'road trips' every year with BassResource.Com
But like you stated, they became increasingly sparsely attended and eventually stopped altogether.

I did live in Arkansas a couple of years when I was a kid.....but just barely into Arkansas....Ft Smith.
I have and had kin folk that lived in AR all of their life.

Ouachita works for me. Fall would be good as well
