1980's Hong Kong Bank Run
Heard a pretty funny story today. Honk Kong was having some banking troubles bank in the 1980s. There was a bank near a bus stop that put up an awning over its front window to keep the sun out and the office cooler. One day it started raining very hard and all the people at the bus stop went under the awning to keep dry. When passerby saw all these people crowded in front of the bank they thought it was a start of a bank run and a bank run did indeed develop. Absolutely crazy how something like this triggered a bank run.

That is crazy how something small turns into a big event.
