    cx 19

Just picked up my new CX 19 a couple weeks ago with a 225 Merc four stroke. I am almost done with the break in period but can not seem to get over 67mph. What kind of numbers are others getting with this boat? And what prop are you running?

2022 CX19 with the 4stroke 225. 23P Fury. Lowrance ghost and 2 9s at the bow. 12 at console. Added bobs hydraulic plate. Switch tm batteries to 3 - 12v 100Ah Monster lithiums. Stock agm cranking battery. Myself (6-4 230lbs) and, gear and 3/4 tank of gas will hit 68. On our river I can touch 70 going downstream. I prefer to cruise right around 60-62. So WOT and getting another 2-3 mph hasn't been a big deal for me.

No 5700-5800 is what I am seeing for the top speed. It has a 23 fury with the prop plugs out

Wonder if you are getting 100% throttle?

Dealer sets it up by computer any more to check for full power.

You would have to take it to your dealership and have them check the throttle Angle should reach 100%. Lots of them do not when delivered.

Boats not propped right if he’s only turning 5600rpm, boat run 70 all day long if it was setup right.

My cx19 would only get about 68 with 24 pitch 3 blade, light load. Of course, the horrible chine walk started at about 65... LOL!

Guess I'm doing pretty good getting 60 mph out of my CX18ss. And I think I have a little more left in it.

Earl Bentz is really slacking if that's all they are getting out of thos boats. The old Triton TR196s would run over 70 with just a 200 on them.

Not getting near enough rpms and prob the wrong prop and engine height, that boat will easily run low 70's set up correct.

Love the boat. Layout and storage is what sold me. I like how open and the cockpit area is. Also since the fuel tank is in the bottom of the boat you gain all that extra space most boats loose near the transom or under the seats. I did not have to change anything from the way I got it from the dealer. Boat jumps on plane and is a really nice riding boat, very responsive to the throttle. I also like the clean look of flush mounted graphs. I went with 9" but could have went bigger and still could have flush mounted them. Visibility of the bow mounted one is no issue since you have tilt steering which was another big plus for me.

You might see a lot of posts for tilt and gas gauge not working. I purchased Mercury's Vessel View Mobile due to these posts. So far my gas gauge has been spot on confirmed by VVM.

The CX19 is a big boat. Basically a CX20 with 7 inches of the nose taken off. They are 68-70mph boats with two aboard loaded to fish. These new Mercs aren't very impressive on top end either.

It's a very roomy boat. Great fishing platform. Very few are getting 70 with 2 people. Most are getting 68ish with one person and tournament loaded... If they got one that doesn't chine walk too bad. I'm a bit bitter about mine... LOL

If it is walking my money says the engine is too low, I have a 21 CX with a 300R, it will run 81 plus, you do have to drive it but it will run 70 without having to touch the wheel.
