    Lake Monroe History

They torn down the outhouse at Cutright today. A piece of Indiana fishing history right there.

I was hoping that was what the excavator was for, that structure was long overdue to be replaced. Hope they build a nicer one and actually keep it clean.
Any idea how long that outhouse has been there? I cannot recall it not being there and I have been using that ramp for a long time.

It was there when I started fishing Monroe 30 years ago. Seemed old back then. Nobody ever liked going in there, but some mornings you sure were happy it was there.

Which one? The one by main parking lot or the one by shelter house?

I may have needed it at times, but I’d take the woods over that any day. Sad excuse for an outhouse, especially when you see what other lakes have.

I agree that one is rough. However, I have never seen a monstrosity like I did last year launching at Pine Grove ramp. To describe the scene I saw in that outhouse would require words that aren't appropriate for this forum...
