Any issues shortening a Ultra106 power cord?

I want to shorten my 106sv power cord to only be about 12 inches long (for an icefishing bundle) any issues doing that? of course I would still keep the inline fuse...

It may technically void the warranty, but they never ask for the wiring back.

If your building an ice shuttle, this is the way to go. Powers up your graph, LS, and has fused leads to your battery. The two gray blocks are spare leads for any thing else you might want to power up ( glow charging light, etc..)

I'm just powering the 106sv screen and running a LVS12, so the powercord from in the box is all I need, I just don't need all the cable length...

Then just cut it, I cut all three of mine on the boat to get the 10 gauge wire as close to the unit as possible. No problems.
