    They are watching you more than you know

    I've watched and read a lot on the subject and its downright scary just how much we are being spied on. I just read the Dicks Sporting goods thread and boom every other site I went to afterwards has Dicks adds popping up . Well the joke is on them as they are on my list of companies i will not do business with

    i have talked about items with customers and the next day started getting pop-ups on websites about said items!!! "they" are out there!!!

    Several of us tested this last weekend, it's both fun and scary. We were discussing how much and how easily they're listening on social media to drive ad revenue and keep people buying-buying-buying. So I started "I need", "I want", "I need to buy" followed by a bunch of completely random things that I've never searched or would never seek to purchase. Next morning my FB was chock full of adverts of guess what...

    It's called AD algorithms the internet generates from the user. Not really spying, just calculating your internet histories and then inserting ads as you browse the internet.

    DuckDuckGo doesn't do this (supposedly). I've never tried it to see if that's true and how well it works as a browser
