HST WSBL thru hull transducer

Has anyone successfully used the standard skimmer transducer to shoot thru fiberglass hull? Just wanted to know if it would work. Thanks

It will work but it’s much more difficult to get good images since the bottom isn’t perfectly flat like a PD type transducer. You would also need to turn off temp unless you are wanting the temp from inside the bilge. For $79 I think I would just get the one that’s meant to be there.

Yep, I did it once, it kept trying to roll over on me. I ended up breaking it out and ordered the PD Model.
