    Tackle stores

    Hi guys
Besides the 1000 islands tackle store is there any other store worth driving to in the area?
I'm going to be around there in about 2 weekends
    Thanks
    Joe

Kinda. They combined with Lakeside Outiffters in Canastota, but it’s also about 2 hours from the 1000 islands.

lakeside has been open for a few years now and was only about 1/2 the size of the 1000 islands baitshop so it was fairly small. I’m not sure if they expanded since the merger. I should check it out, it’s only 45min from my house.

Another one to check if you are near Black Lake is The Log Cabins tackle shop, not big but nice selection.
    Just north of Chapman's.

If you are going all the way to the 1000 Islands shop you should hop across the border and check out Baitcasters near Carleton Place.

While Chapman's and Log Cabins are faves of mine when I'm at Black Lake, there really isn't anything there out of the ordinary to make a long trip for. I've never been to Fat Nancy's, though I've always wanted to stop on the way up to the 1000 Island region.

Fat Nancy’s is really nice, but it’s more focused on steelhead and salmon. They do have a good bass selection though.

There's Pro Advantage in Shannonville (outskirts of Trenton). There's an exit off the 401 for Shannonville.

There is also Tight Lines Tackle Shop on Pitt St in Cornwall. They have just expanded their operation and looks like they carry lots of good stuff.
