Whatever the manual calls for.
Hang on. I'll help you in 77 minutes.
My manual for the B&S engine calls for 30w oil, my season is from May to Oct, and the oil is changed at the end of the season and stored with fresh oil and run empty of stabilized gas, fresh air filter and spark plug as well. In the spring, my 24 year old push mower starts with the first pull.
Kawasaki manual calls for 10W40 .

Why not just use 30 weight if you only use it in warm weather?
Whatever leftover oil I have laying around. Btw I never change oil in lawnmowers or snowblower.
