    Good, Big, Giant

    Watching a rerun of a fishing show and got to thinking after listening to them. When you’re fishing, what is your definition of a good one, big one and a giant when you set the hook and reeling it in? It’ll be different for everyone depending on tournament or fun fishing and region of country. For me it’s

    Good one = over 2
    Big one = over 4
    Giant = over 6

    Here in cent4al Illinois, I’d say a keeper 14 inch was a good one, a big one would be 3-4 and a giant would be over 5

    I've always used that 2,4,6 rule as well.

    Similar here. Always a good time when you think you’re setting the hook on a bass and it’s a 40”+ pike or northern. It lets you know really quickly lol.

    If I ever say anything it is "good one". Saying "giant", which I'd never do, is right up there with "game changer" IMHO.
    No one can be wrong that often so it has to be deliberate.

    This would work for Stripers, but have to raise it up for Catfish.
