I am a teacher, now 18 years. I am 47 years old and what I witness daily, specifically from 7:30 to 7:31 AM is the saddest part of my day Monday - Friday. That is the time we say the pledge and out of 30 students in my homeroom, 2, only 2 stand, the rest are asleep, trying to talk over it, or on their computers. The worst part, I can't tell them to stand, I can and do tell them to be quiet but it defeatts the purpose if I am telling them to be quiet and not saying the pledge.. Ladies and Gents, I am telling you all, the public school system is rotten to the core and has been rotting for over 2 decades now. When I was in school this would not fly

I am a teacher, now 29 years. I am 52 years old. Sounds like a AA meeting.... Everything you said is 100% correct. I will say that school is a picture of our current society. Society is rotten to the core.

Ya, if I had kids they would not go to public schools. Heck...all the public schools in chicago, baltimore, etc... can't even pass basic reading and math. How are they graduating?

My Grandson is in 3rd grade. He was taught to face the flag, hand over heart and recite the pledge allegiance. Teacher sent a picture of him doing so at the beginning of school year. He was the only kid standing and doing so. Teacher now tells my daughter every kid in the class does it because of his example.

We had to stand everyday for the pledge. It was just part of the start of the day and everyone did it ,times have changed.

Oh if only there was a way to identify those that don't have patriotism and send them to areas where we are under attack by hostile forces. If they don't care for us, we shouldn't care for them.

Get it done, my kids are out of the house but don’t think for a minute I didn’t approve that paddle getting used at school, it was used on me and was used on both my boys… too much of their mommas bad blood. Teach those commandments, more people need to be exposed to them.
