If BASS turned him down I'd say that was best decision BASS has ever made

Even with ESPN having the platform they did to pump up and promote bass fishing like crazy they still lost a bunch of money on it. I would guess they aren't making much after all the expenses are accounted for.

Same conjecture as assuming that they don't make a lot of money. Nobody knows 100% without being there or access to their books.

Right. And if the trails were making a ton of money, the ones who left to start BPT wouldn’t be paying entry fees.

What I think alot of guys arent counting is the cost to run Elites, Opens, Kayak, College, Junior, Nation, Redfish, Team.

Theres alot going out even if there is alot coming in.

I know but there have been plenty of anglers that voiced their opinion on the reason they left bass. Money was a big issue so there apparently is more money they could have payed out.

I think some need to understand revenue and earnings. Maybe Bass uses those Loopholes!

I think the average NET profit margin for corporations is around 5.2%. So just how much of that 25 million is left after taxes? Yeah, they should shower bass pros with money. I'd sell it to L Ron and run , If I owned BASS.

That's for sure...... The Big Money was made by the first and second ownership of B.A.S.S. especially when Helen and her partners sold it to ESPN.

Yep. The money has always been there, they've just been greedy with it.

Bottom line is, if they were listening to the anglers then the split would've never happened, period. Multiple (former) elite anglers have came out and said that they were tired of the same payouts and BASS did nothing.

Do the math on what the entries cost for elites & opens and then look at the payouts, plus the costs of memberships. And from what some people on here claim, BASS should be making enough just off municipality money by what they're charging for a classic. And let's not forget, not too long ago their Opens winners were getting a brand new boat that was offered by a sponsor, and BASS would claim the winner gets $50k. I don't think their overhead costs are as much as some people think, and even if they are it looks to me like nobody there is eating Ramen Noodles for dinner every night.

I would have to think MLF's revenue would be more than BASS. They have waay more entry fee revenue through their books than BASS. Boyd said himself MLF was still losing 2 million per year. So tell me again how BASS is baling money?

True bottom line: If the anglers weren't promised NO Entry Fees the split would have never happened.

BASS miraculously found money to pay every single spot following the split also.

No doubt BASS got better for the anglers after the split. Kinda like the PGA and LIV deal.
