First trip of the year ?

Not really the first trip. I launched at Robinson pond last week only to find my battery was about dead.
Floated around the launch area for a few hours but couldn't find anything.
Went back yesterday. Water temp got to 47. Only got one 2 pounder and lost a nice one, probably 4 or so at the boat. Was nice to finally spend some time on the water.

Any else getting out yet ?

I've been driving up RTE 393 past the river. The backwater is 90% clear so I dug the kayak out - figuring to play hooky one day this week. Since that water's coming off snow in the hills the main stem will be in the 30s, but the backwaters warm if the flow drops and they set still.

Tim, great seeing you get out, we have been fishing all winter, you know us ?
Fished a pond that always gives up some numbers and got one bass in three hrs. Few more weeks and you will be killing them .
    Be safe out there !

That's awesome the two of you still get out year round.
I think we got some cool weather coming in but the fishing should be pretty good in a couple weeks.

Well made it out for 2 hrs tonight. Landed 2 and lost 2. All on a 110 jerkbait in 4fow. Sure felt good to feel a tug on a line once again.....

Got the 'yak on the river for 3 hours or so. Picked up a 2#+ on a shallow perch Cutter, and another 1.5 on a silver ShadowRap Shad. Both bites on the outside edge of the remaining milfoil. Main stem of the river's 42.5 and the backwater 46.5.
