    KVDs Drive for 5?..

Hot take- after watching the BMC 53 KVD has got to be jonesing to get back and resume his drive for 5. As much as I dislike the BpT and refuse to try and follow the ever evolving formats, I have to believe they have the best bass anglers in the world over there. Nothing against the Canadian snow leopard, he dominated this year and earned the Ray Scott Trophy but, I have to think KVD has to see that as a missed opportunity at that capstone on his legacy.

    thoughts?

I second this! I mean I have thought about this ever since he announced retirement. Perhaps this is the best looking way for him to
return to BASS. Retire then come out and return to BASS. Doubt he would have to qualify through the opens I’m sure there is a legends exemption waiting for him to come back whenever he wants it. Truth be told I’m sure many of these guys that left would love to be back on the Classic stage if you put a truth serum in them.

I’m predicting that we’re going to be seeing Davey Hite, Mark Zona, & KVD commentating for B.A.S.S.

He has done it all, and now he is retiring. He seems happy with that decision. If not, I am sure he could get back into it, it's not like playing real pro sports where once you get past 50, you can forget about getting back in. Clunn and Nixon are still going strong.

Maybe it’s because I’ve started paying attention after his prime but in the 3 years I’ve been watching pro bass fishing, he hasn’t done anything. And he seems like a real dud when he’s talking in the boat.

yea but 5 dinks a day wouldnt have won this classic. there is maybe an argument that gussy could have tried to go find some largemouth but his plan payed out and hes probably the only guy on bbc that has won a classic.

This makes no sense. 5 dinks a day wouldn’t have won an mlf tournament there either.
