Had an 02’ I special ordered and ran till I sold it in 17’, was an awesome boat, ran and handled really well. Only reason I sold was to upgrade to a newer boat.

Where did you mount the pumps for your power poles? Do you have one or two power poles? Love my 2008 201 XL.

I wouldn't trade my 06 for any new boat. I re-powered in 2020 and I will do it again when this one goes. Solid build, wee thought out, smooth ride and faster than hell.

I can send pictures of where my pumps are mounted in my 05 201 pro xl.

I couldn't agree more. It's such a great riding hull. I had a 200 pro xl that I liked very much. It was totaled when I was rear ended at stoplight. I used the insurance money to by a 05 201 proxl with a 2010 yamaha 250 sho. The 200 was good. The 201 is just great. I would be happy to just keep repowering this boat for the rest of my life if I can get away with it.

How wide are the front deck on these newer 201 boats.
My older 80's boat was very narrow but rode like a caddy. Had good speed for the times.

If I were using the criteria of ride, speed, fishability and lay out as my judgment call I would argue that the 201 is in the top 3 of the best bass boat ever made.
