Friend has old Ranger boat, wants to run 3-1 transducer, he tried on transom no sonar when on plane, cannot go any lower. Can he move "flush mount" under boat step and get sonar on plane?

The only real way on any bass boat is a shoot thru hull tranducer glued in the sump area to get bottom lock on plane
Practically impossible to mount a 3in1 for optimal scanning at idle and on plane. As mentioned, the surest way is to mount the AI optimally for side/down images and add an in-hull 2D for depth at speed.
