Gel coat repair for white hull

I have a 2009 stratos 285xl, recently I got a scratch/gouge about 3” long in the white part of my hull. What is recommended to try to fix this? The white on the hull looks like almost pure white maybe a little off white.

Depending on where it is, usually Marine Tex is the ticket. Just be sure to mask surrounding area and not overfill too much. The stuff is a bear to sand, but done right it is a great fix. I've done it tons of times over the years.

I had a spot like that and just used a white 1 part urethane caulk. couldn't hardly tell it was there and was on the boat 6 years when I sold it. Clean the area with denatured alcohol. Tape around the damaged area and apply the caulk. Wait about 10 minutes and scrape the excess off and remove the tape. Wait about 15 minutes and use soapy water on your finger to smooth. It wont come off.
