Hi. I'm looking hard but having trouble finding a boat I like.im looking for a ranger 361 or 364. Color doesn't matter. But I'm only looking for a boat with a 150/175 mercury or evinrude/johnson. MUST BE CARBURETED. Looking for under 10,000. If you would be interested in selling or know someone who is or know of a dealer please let me know.
Curious minds wanna know. Why a must for carburetored?
I want to be able to mix oil and I feel on an older motor maintenance on the fuel system (inevitably will fail) will be cheaper. I guess I shouldn't of said mandatory but had bad experience with a 1993 mercury 200 efi.
I am open to the opinions of others tho if you have any thoughts

Stay 89 or newer. Fiberglass transom on 300 series
Efi mercs you can remove the oil pump if you wish and premix. I did it on my xr6, same oil pump.
360-361-364 all had the double step hull. Little bit faster than the 350 series boats. 88 1/2 bit 89 for sure will have all fiberglass transoms. Wouldn’t rule out and R series boat either. I think the R80 has the same hull as the old 360 series just a different top cap.
You may include the dual console sister boat 362V in your hunt. Personally, I like the raised front deck of the 361 and 362. My 33 year old Yamaha 2-stroke oil system is still working like the day I bought it in 1990. I will take my boat to the grave unless it's stolen first. Best of luck in your search!
I have a 93 361 which I love. Has a 150 fast strike which has been strong and awesome. Love the way it fishes, runs, and handles. Just wish it was bigger.

A buddy of mine at work recently bought a nitro and is selling his old Ranger. I believe its an 1986 364V grey and maroon. It has either a 150 or 175 on it. If you sare still looking I can let him know and give you his cell number..
