    New 20XP

Is it just me or does the new XP look just like a Nitro?
Consoles are almost identical. Cheap rod bungee cords on a $75k boat? Really??
    Not impressed

It looks Nitro-ish. I like the looks of it. I would like to have seen the traditional Triton badging on it instead of the reverse. Retractable rod straps and a cup holder up front would be nice

Was hoping it would be about 150-200 lbs. lighter since it is " Xtreme Performance".

150 - 200lbs lighter??? Wow, that would give you a whole one mph more.

Not to me and I've run both. You can't tell that close by the pictures. Look at the rear end. It looks NOTHING like a Nitro. Consoles are similar in front but not on the wheel side. but that's a great feature to access your console from the top rather than crawling under the console. Don't knock a good idea just because you may not like Nitros.

So if you add 200 # to your boat you only lose 1 mph or stated another way you take 200 # out of your boat and only gain 1 mph?

That's a fact. Depending where you put it, 100lbs on the average bass boat gains you or looses you approx 1 mph. Ask yourself why your boat runs faster by yourself than with your fat partner.

My original post indicated that I would like for the boat to weigh 150 to 200 lbs. less.

Not sure how you corrupted that to including fat partners.

If you have some verified facts on weight vs performance I would be interested. So far I am not seeing anything useful in your posts.

Wonder when the new 20XP will be available at dealers? Will it be not until 2024?

Im not sure about looks but seeing the newer rangers and tritions up close, the gel work has gone to whatever they use on nitros.

Dealers can order them now IF they have a sold contract on one, but apparently cannot order inventory boats yet. They WILL be 2024 model year.

Are you sure Nitro hasn't gone to what Ranger and Triton uses??? They are all three built in different plants by different people and I doubt seriously you could tell the difference. If you knew anything, you would know all three are laid up differently. Tour the plants and get educated.

I have retractable rod straps and to be completely honest, I think I like bungees better.

I have new 519c and don't like the lack of storage or how the boxes are set up. thinking about trading it toward on of these? bad move? loved my stratos and the tritons seem really close to a stratos. what about the older models? 20 trx? cost more than new model? good??? bad????

ranger 520r way more and blows the budget but my ranger dealer just got triton also

I think you would like the 20XP way more than the 519. Will be bigger, faster and will ride better.

The 20TRX is a very nice boat. Although I will warn you, the cockpit space is tight. Not much legroom. If you’re a shorter person you may not have an issue, but if you’re closer to 6’ or taller then it might be a little tight for your comfort. I’ve had a 20TRX and now a 21TRX, the 21 has 6” more room between front deck and rear deck.

5-9 so room no issues. DC is a big kid and he fits fine in the new 20xp
