Hey I apologize if this has already been covered, I've searched but couldn't find the solution...
I have a 2019 Ranger TR198P with a 150 Pro XS (4 Stroke). I installed a 6in Jack Plate. It performed well at P2P 4.25". However, at that setting the hydro fittings on my steering interferes with the transom when trimming it up (to install motor toter, etc). You really have to pay close attention not to damage anything.
Raised the JP up one inch to clear steering and lost almost 7 mph. I have read these boats prefer a deeper P2P setting.
Is there a way to limit how far the motor will tilt up? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
