    Question 2015 Mercury 250 Pro XS 500hrs...Need to be concerned?

    I am looking at a boat with 2015 Mercury 25 Pro XS. Any reason to be overly concerned? Engine has been maintained by dealer with records. My concern is compressor ect. Also I will be new to Mercury so any info to look for would be greatly appreciated...

    Smart Craft is a lifesaver for me and my Merc. I have almost 800 hours and no major issues. Fire it up, warm it up and Send it.

    major service and flow test/clean the injectors
    Check carefully for signs of a water leak lower rear of the motor where it mounts to the adaptor plate, also what is the water pressure at idle
    I am seeing a rash of those gaskets leaking recently with less than 500 hours, not impressed with the victor reinez gasket
