    HDS Live 9 vs Elite FS 9 Maps

    I am hoping this is a simple answer but are the new HDS Live 9's coming with that counter+ maps like the Elite FS 9 have? I want to upgrade my bow unit to a 9" unit and I was blown away how good the stock cmap contour+ was in my FS7 (it was a massive upgrade over a hotmaps card I had from before). The pricing on the live-9 is so good I am leaning that way but I dont want to sacrifice mapping (id rather not buy a card if I dont have to either).

    the new Lives produced from oct to current have Discovery On Board. The map data is the same as contour + but covers all of North America.

    Oh good to know. Could be a dumb question but if I purchase a 9 and it was produced before Oct is it a software update?
