    BFL Co- Anglers needed!

I fish as a boater and the first 2 tournaments were short co anglers........I have FFS and can't help to think that alone is a reason for the co angler decline. Who all would be happy to give up their FFS to gain more co anglers?

I would happily take mine off to gain BFL participation.

Have you ever fished behind someone who scopes all day?

Why would someone want to fish behind ANYONE (that they don’t know) all day?

FFS is a major reason. I fished for years as a co and refuse to do it now. As do a lot of friends I traveled with.

Have you seen boat sales lately?? There probably isn't anyone left without one.

But seriously we were short 4-5 co's at Kerr a few weeks back. Happens from time to time so I'd be more worried if that number started trending to the upper single digits.

Just make friends and link, then it becomes someone else's problem.

I think the downfall started with spinning rods and senkos.....who would want to up in secluded creek with Boater in flipp flops, spinning rod and a senko, mentioning lubbing up his worm with bait fuel.

    Do BFLs require backseaters?

They put boaters together if I remember right.

My thoughts exactly. I quit being a co because I hated it before FFS. I’m sure ffs didn’t help the co situation but I’d rather fish for fun than have a random person dictate my day as far as locations especially. I fish as a boater and am astounded that anyone participates as a co at all tbh. It’s a tough gig. I try to help my Coangler’s out any way I can but no way I would go back to it. I’ll fish from the bank lol

That’s odd. There isn’t a Lance Freeman who has fished a bfl this year

It doesn't matter who I am or what year this is.

    I asked a simple question

Would you like splitting your boat or another boaters boat for the day?
You would have control over half your day and fish from the back the other half.

haha I still can't for the life of me figure out why someone would pay money to get into a boat with someone they don't know. Safety would be my main concern. Secondly, I would hate to fish from the back of the boat when I know darn well that person probably doesn't want me to catch their fish. Maybe I am the odd ball but it sounds miserable to me.
