Question Cash at the Classic Expo?

Going to my first Classic this weekend and wasn’t sure if I should bring cash for the show or not? Assuming my card will be all I need but just making sure.

Bring cash and a whole lot of it. Cash is king and you can find some deals for sure.

They must not be wanting to do business with BBC members.

Some vendors travel from out of state and might not want to secure and travel with a lot of cash.

Back years ago, because of the depression and bank failures, it was illegal to deny cash under certain conditions. It supposedly showed a lack of faith in our government. I am not sure if that applies now? Today it seems people don’t hesitate to use plastic and debit cards to buy a soda pop in a vending machine. My how times have changed… Today we are asking if they can take cash and I’m not sure those cash laws aren’t still in place.

Maybe let the bank know you are traveling. We did this with our bank when we went to the classic so when they seen a bunch of transactions, they knew it was us.

Lack of faith in our government? That cat got out of the bag a long time ago!

In the past I have always used my card. Usually there are some local mom and pop tackle shops there. Odds are good they may deal better with cash.

Wait until You get that warm, fuzzy feel of 'safe/security' of using the 'Tap™' method. I thought the cashier was kidding when She said 'just hold it there for a bit, your don't have to 'tap it' it is just called that because of the security built in...' There was none..

I know i really shouldn't give 2 shits but I still get calls for a 1996 IdentityTheft case in which i was a victim.

i took cash to both the ones in Tulsa. Got some better deals when I asked the cash price a few times. Lots of them said there was no difference with cash. Nobody said they would not take it.

I've found some vendors only take cash. I'd take some but a card will handle most transactions.

I'd bring cash, mainly because I don't like swiping my card at a bunch of vendors who may or may not be up on their CC security. But I'd have the CC as backup for those few that do not accept cash.
