    Question Active Target Transducer Placement

Was wondering what your preference is for placement of the AT transducer on the shaft or directly on the trolling motor?

I would start on the shaft. Top of the motor up the shaft 7in to the bottom of the TM shaft bracket. Works everytime. Keeps the transducer safer than on the motor unless you are fishing deep open water all the time then it may not make a difference. There must be some reason you are asking this what is it you are thinking on this question.

Just wondering what the prefer is out there as I am seeing many Pro's have it attached to the motor.
