Has anyone tried to re dye their boat cover

Mine is looking pretty old but is still solid in the seams and doesn't leak. It just looks faded and old. Has anyone tried to re dye an Aurora cover? Any success? This is on a '03 Cougar FTD

I know zero about this subject, but trade off for color restore of a working faded cover vrs possibility of a bleed through, (from rain), onto carpet would say "no" to me. I would call a canvas place rather than us "experts" here.

We haven't re-dyed one, though we have used name brand Silicone to seal and restore them. Others use Camp Dry to bring them to life.
