    Hours meter question

I have an 09 Ranger with an 09 Yamaha 4 Stroke 150hp. I do not have an hours meter on the boat. If I were to get and install something like this and hook it up would it start at 0 hours or will it tell me if the engine has 200hrs on it? That’s my main thing I am looking for to get the current hours.

I don't know about an 09. I install a Yamaha command link round tach on my 14 SHO. The engine already had hours on it. The command link pulls info straight from the ecu and had the correct hours. It your ecu tracks hours it would work.20230123_102523.jpg20230123_102523.jpg

The gauge shown in the OPs post will start at 0.

A Yamaha Command Link tachometer, or an NMEA 2000 MFD connected to the motor, can display ECU hours.
