Puma STS with 300 ProXS Propping

I was wanting to see what props were being run with this set up other than a 24p Fury 3Blade. What kind of rpm's / mph

I’m just getting the process started. I’ve only ran the 26 Bravo XS so far and saw upper 77’s with a load and 3/4 fuel. RPM was 6020 and felt like I had a little more left as it was windy and 1ft chop. Have a 25 Fury 3bld coming in tomorrow and I will run it and a 24 on Wednesday. Will post once I have numbers. What kind of speed are you seeing with the 24?

I’m jealous. I wish I had got the 300. But then I’d be wishing I got the 300R. Then I’d be wishing I had an Eyra with a 300R!

i ran it from 3-1/2-2-1/2 below pad best speed was 76 at 6000 r’s. You could over trim it. I am not a fan of a fury. It took a lot of trim to get the boat to get air. I was not happy how the boat carried in chop, acceleration at mid range was sluggish.

Be sure to keep the jackplate low if you have hydraulic.

The Bravo will give you very good Acceleration in mid range and lift. Are you coming to the owners tournament in May? If so happy for you to run mine.

Ran 3 props today on my Puma 300xs

    24 Fury 3 blade 76 @ 6050
    25 Fury 3 blade 77.8 @ 5900
    26 Bravo XS 75.8 @ 5950

Holeshot goes to the Fury slightly
acceleratIon lift and rough water handling go to the Bravo hands down. Boat was Medium load and 30 gall of fuel. I weigh 260 and I have 8’ Raptors and Lithium batteries The wind was howling today so I want to run again in better conditions.

    27 Bravo is next

We think the new Ventera might give us something and it’s not readily available yet.

Once we can get them we will dig in and give them a spin.
