Hit something hard yesterday with my Lowrance Ghost, prop stopped turning. After loading boat on trailer thr motor was turning again. No shear pin broke, no breaker trip.
Is there an internal trip in these motors that needs to reset itself?

Spoke to lowrance, said this is usually solved by a power cycle so keeping fingers crossed

How did this turn out?
I was curious to see how strong mine was and its weed chopping abilities, so I drove it straight into a solid mat of hydrilla. It shut the power off and after a few seconds, it came back on. I’d guess it’s some kind of thermal protection.

I've had mine stop twice and turning it off and on did not work. But cutting the power and turning the power to it back on worked both times.
After I cycled the breaker the prop started again. I'd still like to put it in the water before my tournament
