    Stripped out screw holes

I posted this in the general section but will try here also.

I am re-doing my carpet and while doing so want to address a few screw holes for my rear hatch hinges that are stripped out. Normally I would use West Systems but don't have any right now. I do have some Marine Tex and Devcon 2 ton 30 minute epoxy. I have worked with both but never for something that will be drilled and screwed. Am I better off just getting more West System or will one of them be fine.

easy fix, put a couple of tooth picks in the screw hole as far as you can, then break them off flush, then screw in the screw

the toothpicks will fill the void and you can get the screw tight

Plastic zip tie, or a piece of electrical wire. Same concept as the toothpick.

What will also work is Super Glue a few drops let in soak in a few minutes hit it with kicker put the screw back in.
