    Ionic lithium question

Anyone here running 2 12v 50ah ionic batteries for their 24v Ultrex? Thinking about pulling the plug while they're on sale and was just wondering if anyone has tried this setup. I'm not a tournament fisherman or anything like that, just a weekend warrior. My Interstate lead acid batteries are 5 years old this year and have to be ready to die soon. I'm still on the fence with the lithium battery because of the cost but it Looks like I can get a 12v 50ah ionic with bluetooth for $350 right now. That would put me at $700 for two...

I have a 36v Ultrex and run three 50ah Ionics. These are fantastic batteries and I think you would be very pleased.

I'm just worried that the 50ah isn't enough. I guess I'm just so old school that I can't for the life of me understand how those could outlast my giant azz lead acid batteries.

You will be surprised that the lithium are better than the capacity of the lead batteries.

If your current batteries are group 27’s or 29’s and held up to your fishing style then the 50’s will be just fine.

You will have no issue. Probably draw 30% - 40% use on average.

Do they need any special care? My boat lives outside under a cover year round with my current onboard charger hooked up 24/7 in the Texas heat/sun in summer and ice in winter.

I am looking at the same thing. Most of the replies are 36 v with 50 ah, 24V are not as efficient, what size is your boat and how long do you fish….. ?

When Texas gets its yearly hard freeze I put a heater next to mine. They should not be on a charger under freezing conditions.

yes sir 20% capa ity for not much more $ plus with 10 years nothing out of pocket vs 5 with a ionic. No Brainer. Twin 50 on a 24 volt tad too small for most IMO. Those comparing a 36 vokt w 3 t0s. Big difference to a 24 volt on twin 50s

I just put 2 ionic 50s in my boat 24v Unbelievable and for how small they are. I fished all day and I do run a helix 12 off one trolling battery. One battery was 82% other was 65% when I loaded at end of day. Wind was pretty good. For me they work!!!

Is there a BBC discount on these batteries? Right now two 60ah Powerhouse would be $400 more than the Ionics. They do have a better warranty though...
