98 basscat pantera 2 filling void

Hey guys, looking to make something to fill the center hole in my boat and make the front area level all the way across, maybe incorporating another storage box or two underneath does any one have any recommendations? or can they point me in a direction. area seems to be about 33″ by 36″.
if made out of wood what do i need to do to the wood? just some fiberglass resin or should i cover it with the fiberglass as well.
where do i find matching carpet?

    Thanks ahead for the help

I’ve got a 92 Pantera II and mine has a flipping deck insert. Might be factory. It’s fiberglass but would very easy to make out of wood or aluminum and carpet.

Had Ranger Reata 186 with a hinged flip down deck piece made of their pultruded fiberglass. Maybe something similar would work here? Don't know about Basscats old parts but give them a call?

Have a 02 PIII that has same insert. Don't know if it was factory or aftermarket part. Makes a nice pitching/flipping deck plus can store a bunch of 3700 boxes.

If I'm correct that you are trying to fill the pedestal hole on the floor. Then check out Bobs Hydraulic jackplate, I'm thinking they sell aluminum pedestal hole plugs, either them or TH Marine sells them. Different colors to match your boat as well.

Wolmanized wood 1-1/2” frame with 3/4” plywood for top
You can add a door or even a complete storage box in that space
You will think it’s a whole new boat with all that extra deck up front

I would order matching carpet from the factory I ordered two colors that I was told would match but as you can see it doesn't

I would use Baltic birch and coat it with a coat of fiberglass resin, then cover it with matching padding and carpet. If done well, it will look pretty factory.
