    819

How do you like your 819? I’m between customer ordering one and a leftover 2022 ranger z518. I can get the Phoenix exactly how I want it for about $5k more but have to wait 2.5 months or get the ranger in a couple weeks. How fast does your 819 go?

I have had my 819 for a little over two years. I owned a 721 for 7 years, sold it to try something different. The experiment failed and I am back in a Phoenix.

Speed, the 200 4 stroke Merc is bad to the bone. Hole shot is great with a manual plate. Fastest has been a hair over 68, but with two people, full livewells and gas tank I ran 65 steady. I think it will break 70, but overall I cannot complain.

I fish Sam Rayburn and Toledo Bend quite a bit, it handles rough water great, or as rough as this old guy will run in!

To me the big differentiator between Phoenix and a lot of other brands is the customer service, second to none. That Ranger is a sweet ride, but I will run this baby bird until I can't!

Holler if you have any questions. I will be out after Thursday fishing a tournament, but will be around Sunday.

    Good luck.

Think you might find the 819 fishes and feels a touch bigger than the 518. I like mine, rough water ride is excellent for a 19. I would think the SeaDek is now an option.

I just bought an 819 and it was a 9-10 week wait. I wouldn’t get a Ranger over a Phoenix. Feel free to dm me and I can share more about the options I went with. And yes, you can get SeaDeck in the console area as an option. From what I’ve heard with a manual plate you’re looking at a 65-68 mph boat, hydraulic plate I’ve heard 70-72

I chose the 919 over the 819, but I will say to get the boat with the options you want, because you will probably add it anyway.

If you can not afford or do not want to spend the extra 5K, its a different story.

The floor looks sweet! Does the side compartment work ok with the passenger console?

When you order the boat with the dual console they split the compartment so you can still open it and have access. The only drawback is that you lose access to the storage compartment to the far left directly below the console but you gain space in the second console itself. There’s a good video on YouTube from Big Jim showing how it works

Taking into consideration that I will more than likely be kneeling on it while accessing the center storage area it will be nice and cushioned for my knees

Do you guys have brakes on all axles or just one? My state only requires on all wheels if over 3000lb which this isn’t? Approximately weight on site is 1800lb.

Dunno if I'd trust that weight, sounds like just boat weight. My state requires brakes on both axles. Can't hurt.

I bought the boat in Connecticut which does require brakes on both axles but because I live in NY I got it with only one set. Less to mess with when it comes to maintenance

How much does the boat, trailer, etc actually weight? It looks like I need brakes on all axles if it weights more then 3k
