    Help - 2001 Nitro 911 CDC

    Update: 2001 Nitro 911 CDC

I am looking at a hull with no motor, but have a couple of questions...

    1. Is my 2000 Mercury EFI 200hp a good match with this hull or should I look for a 225hp?
    2. Anything specific to this model that I should be looking at while inspecting?
    3. How good is this hull in choppy water?

I believe this was there NX 898. In my experience, Nitro’s especially the older ones had heavier hulls. 200 would move you, but a 225 would be better. 250 would be best but I’m not sure what the CG rating is on this one. I had an ‘05 929. In was like an aircraft carrier. Big, solid and sturdy. Check for spider cracks on the bottom side of the hull. Not necessarily a deal breaker but could be a sign of greater damage.

Update - based on closer inspection of photos, it is a 911 CDC

200 is not enough in my opinion. rear gas tank design will be a pig out of the hole no matter what engine u choose. but it was a good design and decent riding boat.

200 is to small, great riding hull, nice dry ride. I get 68 MPH GPS with my 4 blade prop. (225 Opti)
