How high can you trim on plane?

I just bought a Cx 18ss with a pro CSF 150 and have around 3 hours on it now. When on plane it will trim up to 7 on the gauge and that’s it. Shouldn’t it go higher that that or am I missing something. I have a 92 Ranger and you can keep trimming it , it doesn’t stop when on plane.

    thanks Bill

On the newer motors you can't keep trimming up. It's a safety precaution to keep the water in the motor I believe. That's why you see guys (like me) adding wedges to get more trim. It will only go so far once you are at RPM.
