    225 Optimax tilt/trim leaking

    S/N-OT207263
The bottom of the tilt tube is leaking fluid. How hard is it to replace seals and what is needed and recommended to
    get this job done?

I realize how important it is to have a clean work environment. The special tools needed along with the service manual that I have. It appears the shaft o rings for the tilt ram are leaking. Does the entire trim assembly need to be removed or can the tilt ram be removed itself? Can the o rings be replaced or does the shaft need replaced as well. Thanks for any help.

You'll likely end up with a rebuild kit to accomplish this. Good idea to plan to simply go through and refresh the system with seals/o-rings.
