I haven't fished both of these per se but the Sierra has a slower response than the kaiden. I have fished the 734 Sierra and love it as a chatter bait rod and the kaiden 734 as my mag ultra vibe worm rod with 50# braid. Also as my big easy swim bait rod. I just ordered a Sierra 735 that I'll use mainly as a frog rod. It has the backbone but a little slower response
