Yeah, they do suck. lol But for the first 5 or 10 seconds . . . . . . what a ride!
I love fighting drum and buffalo. Still a tease when for a short bit you think you have your PB bass on the line. I do know they'll stink up a boat in a hurry if you're not careful.

They will definitely get the heart pounding for a few seconds. Thought my backseater had an Oklahoma state record smallmouth on once. Turned out to be a 9.5 pound drum. I think I’ve caught about as many drum as bass this year. Hate dragging the nasty things in the boat. Seems like it’s always on treble hooks and they find a way to get every hook in them somewhere.
