    Stryker blanks

Anyone tried them? They're out of Oregon. I just ordered up some to mess around with. Pretty nice pricing $55-$75.

I’ve bought some and really like them for the price. Out of the 30 or so I’ve bought they all have been straight. The sb796 is a great swimbait blank.

Interested how these perform too.. I thought about picking up an NFC Delta or a RodGeeks C2 as a camping/kayak rod so don’t wanna go too expensive but if the Stryker are good blanks might give them a shot

Anything you can glean about Rogue rods and blanks will help you with picking a Styker, some of the same people involved. My picks:
Pitching: The MB 704 or 744.
    Jig: MB 705
Deep Cranks like the DD22: Part numbers have changed but spec supplied look like the SB796 is that blank.

I've built a number of Rogue blanks in the past when you could still get them, one is actually a favorite of mine. If they are similar then I'll be happy. I got an MB705HM ($75), MB705 ($55), SCB7115 ($65) and a SCB7114 ($65). If the SCB7114 is close to the 7'11" Rogues then I'll be very happy!

According to tracking I should have them Thursday.

Just got the blanks. Very happy with them. Very good customer service as well. The MB705HM that I got is only 6'8", not sure what happened there doesn't look like it broke at any point, the tip is well finished. I think maybe they accidentally sent me a MB684.5?? Anyway, they told me that they'd be getting out another blank ASAP. They have a lot of potential as being a go to supplier for certain things. I'll definitely be ordering some other models soon.

    They're IM7, IM8 or a IM7/glass blend

Looks like their factory finished rods are using the Alps components for grips, seats, guides, and winding checks.

Yeah I saw that. I like and use the MVT's from time to time but they're pricey and IMO not as comfortable as a plain old ECSM. $350 seems steep to me too especially since I don't care for carbon fiber grips or any foregrip. Regardless the blanks are definitely worth the price. I'll probably start using their IM's instead of Deltas for lower cost builds since the price is basically the same after you add NFC's $10 excise add on.

The weights for the IM MB705 and whatever the 6'8" blank were reasonable, like 2.5oz (I don't remember exactly, think one was 2.3). The SCB7114 was 3.1 and the 7115 3.5 so reasonable for a 7'11" composite blank of some sort. Hard to figure out exactly what they're doing with the carbon/glass blend or whatever because they're was different than most composites. They're actually very similar to the Thrasher BCSC780X's. Side by side the SCB7114 and the Thrasher BCSC7805 are really close with the 7114 having just a touch less power and is a little faster. I cut it to 7'4" last night and glued up a handle and seat. I'm thinking it'd be a good swim jig blank.

Mike, I'll build up the SCB7115 how you like them and see how it is for bladed jigs and let you know. If it seems like a good one we can work something out. 7' right?

Has anyone done some power and action measurements on the Stryker blanks? I ordered some and like them, but not set up and never done blank measurements before.... CCS AA or ERN.

I don't do any measurements but I can tell you that the difference in power between the SCB7114 and the SCB7115 feels more like a difference of 2 powers not 1.
