    BPS Mag Heavy Crankin Stick

Could this rod be used for the 2-3 oz glidebaits? Looking to get into throwing a few and been looking for an inexpensive rods to start out with. Rods rated for 1-4 oz baits. I was going to pair it with an Ardent Apex Magnum I have collecting dust.

I can't see why it wouldn't be a good rod especially for glides and other treble hook swimbaits.

yes absolutely I use it for baits in that weight range and I actually like it better then my dobyns 795 sb and just today bought a 7’3 heavy for my smaller,” Swimbaits. Great glide bait rod for the money especially on sale.

I would buy something else, I loved the older generations of BPS crankin sticks but the newer ones are made cheaper and don't have as good of a handle and reel seat, doesn't feel nearly as good in the hand. Not worth the money in my Opinion. Previous version which is great on the left, new version on the right.

I have one of the older solid grey versions that I throw a-rigs on and it works pretty well. Never really fished a glide bait but I bet it would work well.
