    Quote error

    I noticed this quote for the 3 year note on the WSJ website today.



    This is impossible since yields and price are inversely related and move in different directions. Would this have something to do with the auction yesterday?

    Maybe a timing issue of when price vs yield is posted

    Price determines yield based on the coupon. The only possibility that I can think of is that the system is confused because of yesterday’s auction.
