I will ask him Ron, sorry didn't mean to edit you post, I'm blaming it on old age.

Just made the leap to lithium. Had my starter battery go bad. It was a 2017. My trolling motor batteries are older than that. So it was time to make the leap.

Also ordered the alternator protection device as I have a 2005 250XS which is not a recommended engine to run lithium.

Still trying to decide best setup. Got two 12 Volt 100ah and one 12 volt 125ah. Do I set it up as a 36 volt for the trolling motor and attach the 2 HDS Live 9 to the 125ah battery or run a 24 volt trolling motor and use the 125ah as a starter/electronics battery. There is a third option where I do option 1 and keep one of the lead acid batteries as the starter battery.

Weather for the next couple of weeks looks like more rain. That will give me a couple of weeks to remove the old setup and install the new one.

Me, myself and I would do option #2. Most common setup. If you want 36volts, option #3 or better yet option #4. Get a 3rd 100ah battery to make the 36volts

Ron, thanks for the feedback. I think for now I will do option 2 as that is how the wiring is setup now.
