Amount of boats on the water ???

Is it just me , or has the number of boats you see on the water exploded in the last 10 years ? I went to jack millers this SUNDAY and the amount of boats that were out there with us was ridiculous .

Yeah, any given weekend on Guntersville is packed but most Alabama lakes are that way.

The crowds are part of the reason I quit fishing. Couldn't walk as far as I had to park at the spillway and Toledo Bend.

You can go to Toledo Bend around the first of May and not see that many boats.
I have a place up there and usually stay off the water late Feb - early April.
Went today to cut the grass, and fished 4 hours.
It does not help that the pollen seems to make my sinus flare up bad.

After the spring there are few boats here and there.
I caught 4 bass over 10lbs at Toledo Bend since 2003.
All of them I caught in the fall on floating worms.

Not my fault you cannot catch them, and don't know the lake.
This place has been solid, if the water high enough to cover the flats.

I give you a riddle and let's see if you can figure it out.

"The launch is North West of the North Toledo Bend State park you see.
Alot of people miss me, as they turn before me.
Go straight and you won't make the mistake.
There is a launch, a hall, and opens to the place.
High lake level makes me a consistent place."

It flats next to deepwater near a launch.

The first time someone brought me there, I caught a 7lb bass the person who was in-front of the boat caught a 9lber in the morning right around 11 am.
We left to go eat lunch at the camp and then went back.
Another boat in our group caught one over 10lbs around 1:30pm

Same at our lakes up North of yall. Used to, those of us fortunate enough to be able to be out in the middle of the week would have the lake to ourselves. There's not a day or time now you can go out and the parking lot not be full.
